Evermore
On starry nights
I cast a wishful eye,
in hopes the heavens
bid me wings to fly,
to cast myself
into that great abyss
and live for evermore.
Looking down
at dreams supposed,
that I, myself,
could not dispose,
I’d scoff at all
their ridicule
and smile for evermore.
But nestled here,
within my place,
I picture every
face of grace
and know this is
where I belong until for evermore.
And when the heavens
do take wind,
open up,
and let me in,
happy I will always bein Heaven evermore.
